"Senior Instructors" have over two years of experience as a flight instructor, over 1,000 hours of flight time, and over 500 hours of instruction given in airplanes. Trey Walters and his wife Kelsey started Blue Line Aviation with one goal: to provide the highest quality flight instruction for your dollar. Trey is a decorated Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran and former Raleigh Police Officer. He grew up around airplanes and started training towards his license in 2001. He holds Commercial, Instrument, Flight Instructor, and Instrument Instructor ratings for both single and multi-engine aircraft with over 15 years of flying experience. He is currently working towards adding helicopter ratings to his license at Blue Line! Kelsey has a Bachelors in Business Administration and 10 years of small business experience.

Ray is an aviation enthusiast with an extensive background in aviation, business, and project management. He is a certified advanced ground instructor, earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro and his BA degrees in Business Management and in Economics from North Carolina State University. He has over 30 years of flying experience and over 2,000 hours of flight time. Ray serves as our General Manager. Bethany has been in the aviation field for over 10 years. She started as an aviation student at Purdue University where she obtained all of her flight training. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Professional Flight Technology. She instructed at Purdue University before being hired by Republic Airlines where she flew Embraer 175 aircraft. She went on to work at Delta private jets. She is now a stay at home mom and enjoys teaching flying to stay involved with aviation. She has over 5,000 hours of flight time, most of which is in jets as a professional pilot. Andy has an extensive background in Federal Government emergency management and over 10 years of general aviation experience. In addition to being a flight instructor, he volunteers as a Search and Rescue Mission Pilot with the Civil Air Patrol. Also an Eagle Scout, Andy teaches aerospace education to youths and frequently flies them on their first flight in a general aviation airplane. He finds great satisfaction in working with his students and sharing his expertise to help them realize the joy of flying. He excels at molding his teaching style around the needs and personalities of his students with a blend of information, demonstration, and humor. Paul began his flying career as a helicopter pilot and completed his transition training with Blue Line. He is a former NC State Trooper and currently works full time as a private security contractor. His background in law enforcement training has helped him become an exceptional flight instructor. Paul has over 10 years of aviation experience and volunteers as a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol. Don started flying in 1993, and earned his Commercial and CFI certificates at Blue Line. A full time state employee, Don volunteers as a search and rescue mission pilot for the Civil Air Patrol, and teaches part time at Blue Line. He has a Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering from Florida Atlantic University and over 34 years of experience as a design and development engineer. Jeremy caught the aviation bug at an early age. He completed his first solo flight at age 16 and received his private pilot license at age 17. He attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he earned his degree in Aviation Technology before continuing on to law school. Jeremy holds instrument and commercial ratings for single and multi-engine airplanes in addition to being a Certified Flight Instructor and Advanced Ground Instructor.
